* The Upstream 15-50 UV Disinfection System uses germicidal UV light to kill viruses, bacteria, cysts and many other water based organisms
* This system is equipped with advanced Crossfire Technology, and also features a self cleaning device which cleans and protects the quartz sleeve in exceedingly hard water conditions
* A water softening system does not need to be used with a UV Pure system
* Two microprocessor based UV sensors monitor the amount of UV light energy supplied to the water
* The sensors will activate a visual and audible alarm if the UV light energy distributed into the water is insufficient or if the water quality is poor
* This UV Pure System is Laboratory tested to 40 mJ/cm2 dose at the END of lamp life
* Tested at 50% UVT (UV transmittance) of water
* Operates in an extensive range of air & water temperatures and pre-treatment ranges and can be used in numerous applications
* System shall be used with a 5 micron pre-filter
* Iron should be no larger than 3 ppm
* Hardness shall be lower than 50 gpg
* Manganese shall be lower than 0.5 ppm
